About Burton Waters




Burton Waters is an outstanding, unique marina development set amid beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. It brings together a quiet private residential community with a lovely, welcoming Marina area open to visitors to eat, drink and shop.
Burton Waters is adjacent to the Fossdyke Navigation, two miles by water from the centre of the historic City of Lincoln.
The Fossdyke is linked directly to the national inland waterway network. It is possible to travel via the River Witham and Boston, to the North Sea and via the River Trent to the inland canal system of England. There are lovely walks for miles down the riverbank.
The main focal point is the picturesque marina surrounded by water side houses, apartments, shops, pubs, and restaurants.
Burton Waters span an area of 140 acres overall and provides residents and visitors alike with a unique opportunity to create a balance between vibrant activity and peaceful tranquillity.
The residential community includes the original Burton Waters development and more recently Ellison’s Quay, the Quays, Marina Court, Burton Waters Lodges, Lakeshore and The View.
Residents and visitors are welcomed to a promenade of shops, offices and restaurants including a hairdressing salon, gift shop, pram shop, and a range of cafes and restaurants with extensive free parking.
There is a David Lloyd Health, Leisure, and Racquets Club on site alongside the Woodcocks Pub and Restaurant, and Marston’s Hotel.
Burton Waters is home to a major commercial Marina offering boats for sale and hire and some holiday accommodation.
Burton Waters falls within the parish of Burton(Homepage – Burton by Lincoln Parish Council (lincolnshire.gov.uk) together with nearby beautiful, ancient Burton Village with a history going back to Roman times. It was well established in 1086 when the lands in “Burtone” were recorded in the Domesday Book.
