DESCRIPTION:On Friday 5th April\, Burton Waters Boat Club have the last of our winter series of speaker nights\nBeing held in the meeting room at David Lloyd Leisure Centre\nArrival time from 7.30pm with the talk starting at 8.00pm\nOur guest speaker is local historian Chris Hewis.\nChris is the Chair of Saxilby and District History Group and also Treasurer of the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology. He has written several books and articles on local history and was a regular member of BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s ‘Lunch Bunch’. \nChris will be giving a 60 minute talk entitled ‘Along The Fosse Canal’. With photographs from the ‘John Wilson Collection’ Chris will take you on a boat trip in the early 20th century along England’s oldest canal\, from Lincoln to Torksey. \nThis is free to attend for Boat Club members.\nNon members are welcome at £3 collected on the door
